A Foundation of Fine Homes
Virginia Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1986 by brothers George and Edward Fiscella. The brothers are second generation homebuilders. Since 1949, the Fiscella name has been associated with residential single family home construction in Hampton, Newport News, York County, and James City County. George and Edward Fiscella are the sons of Benjamin Fiscella. Benjamin partnered with his younger brother, Robert, in 1949 to start a homebuilding company called B&B Contracting. B&B Contracting, is now Riverdale Management located Hampton.
Virginia Enterprises, Inc. is a quality
home builder that has built over 2,000 new homes on the Virginia Peninsula and in Southeast Virginia since 1986. Virginia Enterprises, Inc. takes pride in each and every home it builds, no matter how big or small.
A wealth of experience was parlayed from their father and uncle to George and Edward. This coupled with their own experience has led to what Virginia Enterprises, Inc. is today.
The Subdivision & Houses
Virginia Enterprises, Inc. has typically been the exclusive builder in each of its subdivisions, allowing it to control the aesthetics and appeal of the neighborhood for future families of buyers. Some of the larger subdivisions include: Nelson Farms in Hampton with 178 homes, Lee's Mill in Newport News with 112 homes, Foxwood in York County with 189 homes, and Jamestown Hundred in James City County with 105 homes.
In today's (2007 Summer) market our prices range from the $300's to the $500's, with the average sales price being $435,000. These prices are the homes, which range from 2,300 to 3,560 square feet. Virginia Enterprises, Inc. offers many standard features that are normally seen in custom homes selling for much more, such as kitchen and bath cabinetry that is measured and designed for each individual house and wrought iron railing on those homes with front porches. These features are but some of the standard amenities one finds in a Virginia Enterprises, Inc. home as well as countless customer selected options.
A family atmosphere is essential when establishing a neighborhood. This is kept in mind from the initial site clearing to the final product. To help achieve this, Virginia Enterprises, Inc. installs lakes, playgrounds, street lights, alike mailboxes, walking paths, picnic areas, appealing landscaping and other items which will make the subdivision appeal to today's buyer.
Development
Whether Virginia Enterprises, Inc. builds in a subdivision developed by someone else or an associated entity such as George and Edward's development company, Hampton Roads Development, LLC, great care is given to the infrastructure and maintaining of the neighborhood that will be accepted in the state or local municipal system. This means that each subdivision is continuously staffed by a team of personnel who are there to work with not just buyers, homeowners and realtors, but to also insure that any developers' work and investment is protected and maintained to either state or local municipal standards.
Purchasing Developed Lots
Each site is treated as if Virginia Enterprises, Inc. itself owns it so that paving and curb and gutter repairs are minimized and erosion and sediment controls are maintained. The extra steps taken by Virginia Enterprises, Inc. at each of its homebuilding sites make for a timely release of bonds and letters of credit and timely acceptance of the streets into the municipal system.
